COATEMA plants are principally configurated in a modular way. A complete plant- whether a lab plant, pilot or a production plant- always consists of the components ● Winding-off unit for the material or rather material feed for the carrier material (substrate) ● Application system for the application of the coating or laminating material ● Laminating ● Drying unit ● Winding-on unit or rather material transport system and ● Control unit.

All moduls can be designed according to material and kind of coating. The main item of every COATEMA plant is the application system. For coating alone, you can choose between 38 different application systems, like e.g. the case knife system, rollers system, air knife system, commabar system, rubber system, double side system, kiss coating system, micro roller system, slot bead, hotmelt and many more.

Hot air dryers, IR dryers, contact dryers and UV dryers are available. The length of the drying zones can optionally be lengthened to increase the production speed. For double side coating processes, the drying zones can also be arranged vertically. Moreover, we offer vertical or horizontal tenter frames for textile applications. For other products, the dryers can also be equipped with conveyor belts.

Additional properties and options can be individually adapted. Feeding, web guidance and web tension, control and monitoring of all process parameters. Explosion proof constructions for solvent-based processes and clean room versions of the plants are also possible.

Our product range comprises accessories and auxiliary equipment like e.g. mixers, dissolvers and dispersing devices, pump systems, automatic paste delivery, weighing and consumption control systems, knife systems and edge cutting devices, edge-guided winding-on units, Corona, exhaust air scrubbers, cooling rollers, calanders, laminating units, inspection machines, re-rolling cutting devices, up to systems to stockpile sheets.

Together with partners from the industry, COATEMA offers a wide range of quality control and management systems like e.g. Vision systems, thickness gauges, moisture measurement systems, grammage weighing devices and other systems.
