In October 2018, the Horizon2020 funded project Oled Solar started with its partners to work on innovative solutions for the fabrication and quality control of opto-electronic devices. Emerging opto-electronic devices open the way for exciting new applications every day. New thin film technologies enable manufacturers to produce a wide range of new applications, for example energy-efficient lighting and signage or freeform flexible organic solar cells.
Now after three years, the developed technologies for manufacturing advancements, inline characterisation and artificial intelligence have been developed further in Oled Solar and have been installed on pilot or pre-pilot fabrication lines. During this workshop, partners from the project will present their progress on the developed AI tool PATBox, presented by partner IRIS, and connected measurement technologies, presented by VTT. End user ARMOR solar power films will present their developments in software and hardware for OPV production.
As invited speakers Prof. Dr. Argiris Laskarakis from the University of Thessaloniki will present an overview of the associated H2020 project RealNano about novel in-line nano-characterization tools for Organic Electronics manufacturing, and technology provider Offcode will present on installing registration alignment technology through remote assistance.
The Oled Solar workshop will end with a discussion of the speakers on topics such as practical issues with integration of new measurement technologies, impact of COVID-19 on developments and pan-HorizonEU cooperation.
